Spring / Summer 2014 Campaign

Pringle of Scotland Releases the Spring / Summer 2014 Campaign

Shot on location in Loch Fyne and featuring Scottish actress Sophie Kennedy Clark

December 2013, Pringle of Scotland is the iconic brand founded in 1815 at the birthplace of the Scottish knitwear industry. From the beginning technical innovation has led to the creation of knitwear as outerwear, the signature argyle pattern and the classic twinset.

The Spring / Summer 2014 collections take the brand heritage as their starting points, and play with traditional themes including kilting, tartan and the brand’s iconic argyle. This sense of a collection that is deeply rooted in the brand’s Scottish heritage, but refreshed through new treatments and techniques is mirrored in the messaging of the campaign.

The choice of Ardkinglas House, located in beautiful scenery on the shores of Scotland’s Loch Fyne, reflects the great appreciation of the brand’s heritage, whilst the casting of young scottish actress Sophie Kennedy Clark, brings a fresh and youthful energy to the scene.

Photographer Roe Ethridge worked with the location and its amazing natural light to create portraits of actress Sophie Kennedy Clark and model Werner Schreyer that are alive with the vivid quality that is typical of his work.

Pringle of Scotland Head of Design, Massimo Nicosia comments “For me it was important to show the brand in Scotland, and it really felt like bringing the collection home”.

The full Spring / Summer 2014 collection will be available at the Pringle of Scotland flagship store, Mount Street, London from January 2014.
