Autumn / Winter 2014 Campaign
Pringle of Scotland Launches the Autumn/Winter 2014 Brand Campaign by artist photographer Roe Ethridge and featuring Sam Rollinson
June 2014, Pringle of Scotland is the iconic brand founded in 1815 at the birthplace of the Scottish knitwear industry. From the beginning technical innovation has led to the creation of knitwear as outerwear, the signature argyle pattern and the classic twinset.
The Autumn/Winter 2014 collections see technical innovation playing a key role once again with the creation of a series of 3D printed knitwear and fabrics never before seen in ready to wear. Ultra flat 2D is married with the 3D elements to highlight its textural nature. The campaign uses lighting to play with shadows as a way to showcase this innovation in knitwear.
The Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign is the third collaboration between Pringle of Scotland and Artist Photographer Roe Ethridge, renowned for his conceptual work that juxtaposes contrasting images to unique effect. For this brand campaign Ethridge’s unique visual language uses lighting techniques, creating shadows across the room to highlight textures.
Focussing on achieving classic images with timeless appeal, models Sam Rollinson and Adrien Sahores appear elegant in the portraits, whilst showing the technical detailing in the garments, and demonstrate the overall sophistication of the collections in the full length shots.
Pringle of Scotland Head of Design, Massimo Nicosia comments “The technical innovations in 3D printing and textural qualities of the knitwear were the main focus of this collection, so it was really important that both aspects were highlighted in the campaign”.
The full Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection will be available at the Pringle of Scotland Flagship store, 94 Mount Street, London from September 2014.
