Pringle Archive Project 1815 - 2011
Partnering with the internationally renowned Central Saint Martins college of art and design MA and BA fashion courses, this exciting project is the first step to cultivate an archive of Pringle of Scotland’s 196 year history and reconnect with its past to create an essential design resource.
Day of Record, August 2010
The BA fashion course, history & theory pathway students researched and catalogued the existing company archive, and they also played host to the first day of record in the Scottish Hawick headquarters in August 2010.
The Archive Collection
Under the direction of Professor Louise Wilson OBE, and working alongside Pringle of Scotland’s specialised knitwear craftspeople in scotland, MA fashion students designed a collection inspired by the archive findings.
Twelve of these designs by students Viktor Smedinge, Yeori Bae, William Hendry, Estefania Cortes Harker and Timur Kim, were selected to comprise the Pringle archive collection.
